Online Parenting Consultations

Your pathway to days alongside children that feel connected and cooperative starts here.

Do you feel stuck in a power struggle with your child?

Do you feel worried about your child’s anxiety or other big feelings?

Are you curious about the impact of past stressors or trauma?

Do you want a safe space to have your parenting concerns heard?

Do you need parenting support that prioritises connection over correction?

We us evidence-based, trauma informed approaches to parenting, with a compassionate, heart-centred approach that always prioritises attachment first.

We combine this with something that is missing from a lot of parenting approaches – PLAY.

Whether you are a parent, educator or carer – we can all use play as a pathway to healing – to overcome the layers of stress, trauma and needs that prevent a child’s ability to access their inner, true, connected and cooperative self.

From the birth of a sibling and parental separation to teeth brushing and mealtimes, this approach to being with children will shift your thinking, revolutionise your actions and create days with children that can feel easeful and FUN..

In this approach, therapeutic play is couple with understanding your child’s innate functions for emotion release and creating emotional safety so you can support your child without the use of punitive discipline.

Talking with Hannah about my daughter was a great experience. Hannah helped me with some specific scenarios that had arisen for us, and also really helped me to shift my perspective on her emotional needs when her emotions suddenly change. Hannah’s play suggestions for supporting my daughter have been really helpful. I felt supported and seen as a parent and more capable of responding to my daughter’s needs and feelings.

We jumped at the idea to work on emotional and mental health right from the start. We really enjoyed the 1:1 workshop and Jess is such a lovely human to be delivering it. It was so good doing it early on [in our parenting journey] as it allowed us time to implement some things earlier rather than later (ie. changes for us as parents and how we react). We have definitely found that we are parenting in a more curious and understanding way and this has directly come from this workshop. I even read the handbook months later, so handy to have!

Jess

Parenting Consultant

My professional background is in supporting children and their families through Counselling, Case Management and Mental Health Education. I have a special interest in childhood anxiety and highly sensitive children. I’m a mother to two wonderful kids (aged 5 and 3), playfulness is my second language and I love nothing more than spending time out in nature.

I’m passionate about supporting families to navigate life’s inevitable curveballs with confidence. I believe that parenting becomes a lot easier when we have a good understanding of emotions, childhood behaviour and the basics of brain development. Then we add in playfulness and it all becomes a lot more enjoyable!

Parenting can be a beautifully fulfilling experience and it can also feel really challenging and isolating at times. Part of my role is also about giving you, parents, the space to feel heard and truly seen, wherever you’re at.

When it comes to Attachment Play, I’ve explored the research that supports it but perhaps more importantly I’ve lived it. I’ve witnessed the power of play in decreasing aggressive behaviour. I’ve seen laughter re-connect families and ease behavioural challenges.

The power of Attachment Play is undeniable and I believe that anyone can learn these skills.

“Jess had a warm presence and kept the audience engaged with new ways of thinking about emotional intelligence. She had some great ways of explaining difficult concepts and giving helpful suggestions for dealing with difficult situations.”

Speaking with Hannah was such an incredible turning point for our family. Not only did Hannah put me at complete ease sharing my experience but she was understanding, supportive, warm and willing to offer practical advice. Our beautiful two year old has always been very determined and knows what he wants and having some framework and useful tips have made a huge difference in how my husband and I approach parenting. I highly recommend getting in touch with Hannah. I felt so much lighter and more equipped to deal with the everyday of being a parent after our one-on-one session. It’s wonderful to be able to enjoy spending time with my son rather than being apprehensive about what the day will bring. Thank you Hannah.
