Child and Family Therapy in South Fremantle and Online

hey there

Parenting a child with big feelings can feel like walking a tightrope. You want to show up with patience and care, but the daily challenges can leave you feeling exhausted, unsure, and like nothing you try is really working.

We believe your child isn’t giving you a hard time, they’re having a hard time. And they’re already telling you everything they need to through their behaviour, their play, and their nervous system.

I founded Childhood Rising to create a space where children feel safe enough to be fully themselves and where parents feel seen, supported, and no longer alone in the process.

What began as a solo practice has grown into a small, thoughtful team of professionals who share a deep respect for children’s wisdom and a commitment to helping families heal through relationship.

We take a trauma-informed, consent-honouring, play-based approach that meets each child where they are, while offering practical, compassionate support for parents navigating the hard moments too.

Because your child doesn’t need fixing, they need to feel safe, understood, and supported.
And so do you.

We don’t believe in quick fixes — we believe in deep, lasting change

We don’t focus on fixing behaviours. We focus on what’s underneath them: big feelings, unmet needs, and a child’s deep desire to feel safe, understood, and connected.

We work with both children and their caregivers to create lasting change through play, relationship, and a deep respect for each child’s unique inner world.

You’re not here by accident.

You’ve tried strategies, scripts, and staying calm, but something still feels off. You know your child isn’t “bad” or broken, they’re struggling.
You’re craving an approach that sees them, honours them, and supports you both.

If you’re ready to:

  • Support your child’s emotions with compassion instead of control

  • Break away from approaches that shame, silence, or dismiss

  • Help your child feel confident, connected, and safe to be fully themselves

  • And feel more connected and grounded in your role as their parent or carer

…then welcome. You’ve found the right place.
